Theater

Many of the deaf are very talented actors, dancers, comedians and mime artists. Deaf Enabled Foundation has helped students to organised themselves into Theater and Dance troupes, drama troupes, comedy groups and these groups consist excursively of young deaf people. They perform dramas on a number of pertinent social themes which serve the twin objectives of entertainment and education. All of the plays are scripted by the Deaf. This group has performed before various audiences across the country and they have been extremely well received. Not only does amateur theater serve as a medium for communicating concepts but also fulfills, in some ways, a more important role of helping the deaf obtain a sense of self-confidence and self-worth.
